Project Manager Required - Water Industry - AMP 6/Severn Trent Projects - Birmingham Based - Permanent Position (Ideally) - Salary Circa £50,000+ Per Annum (Negotiable on experience and level)

Overview

Our client, a large national Civil Engineering/Construction Contractor, working on various Steven Trent Water projects part of the AMP 6 Framework, are currently looking for a Project Manager in the Birmingham area. The main requirement of this role will be to manage a design & build team, ensuring the timely, but safe delivery of major projects within the water industry, which will range pipeline upgrades to new water treatment plants and all associated facilities.

Daily duties for the role will include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing a D&B build team, being responsible for controlling time, cost and quality standards.
  • Ensuring Health & Safety systems are implemented and adhered to on site.
  • Completing all associated paperwork and adhering to Severn Trent Water procedures/processes.
  • Liaising with clients, to develop a working relationship.
  • Aiming to exceed client expectations, wherever possible.
  • Problem solving and creating innovative solutions for the design, installation and commissioning of new systems.
  • Managing your team as well as working with other Project Managers
  • Planning and programming site activities.

Candidates will ideally:

  • Have competent working knowledge of the Water Industry and the AMP 6 Framework.
  • Hold relevant qualifications such as SMSTS, CSCS, NRSWA etc.
  • Have been responsible and successfully delivered AMP6, Severn Trent Water projects, or projects that include major pipeline installations, both above and below ground.
  • Be technically minded and be able planning/prepare/programme work.
  • Have a strong understanding of HSQE, being able to implement processes on site.
