Position: Project Manager (MEICA)

Anderselite are working with a Tier 1 Contractor on Canals and River Trust MEICA Maintenance framework to recruit for a Regional Engineer to join our clients’ M&E Maintenance team. This position would likely be of interest to Electrical and/ or Mechanical Project Managers with experience within the Water industry.

This position can also offer longevity through its long-term maintenance framework supporting one of our key clients on mechanical & electrical infrastructure repairs, maintenance, and improvements throughout the Wessex region. The team are responsible for carrying out repairs and maintenance to assets and infrastructure around the regions Environment Agency assets including associated Electrical and Mechanical asset repair such as switch gear, control panels, PLC and SCADA equipment, moving structures, pumps etc. Work includes tendering, design, installation, commissioning, and Client handover. The work relates to Pumping Systems, Moving Structures and simple PLC and SCADA systems, with some oversight of minor civils as part of an overall project

Responsibilities:
• Ensuring that all site activities comply with the company and site standards for Quality and Environmental Management.
• Fulfilling the Health and Safety responsibilities as defined within the Company Health and Safety Policy and ensuring that all site activities are carried out in a safe manner across site(s).
• Proactively identify and resolve engineering related issues and have a thorough understanding of control systems and instrumentation.
• Analyse and provide alternative solutions to a problem and select the optimal solution.
• Expectation to work independently in an assigned region.
• Build strong working relationship with regions client teams.
• Drive technical excellence, consistency and process maturity across all operations.
• Share technical knowledge and operational experience with team members.
• Supervision of works including labour, plant and subcontractors.
• Keeping accurate records, including a diary, of all sites activities.
• Reporting observations and issues to line managers in a timely and professional manner.
• Assisting the line managers with the resolution of engineering issues and queries.
• Taking off and ordering of materials.
• Monitoring and Control of wastage.
• Production of Risk Assessments, Work Package Plans, Inspection and Test Plans and other documentation.
• Other tasks as may from time to time be deemed necessary and are authorised by line managers.

You will need:
• Project Management experience on Mechanical & Electrical project maintenance environment
• Experience in the water industry (utilities, environmental)
• Degree level education in relevant subject e.g. Mechanical & / or Electrical Engineering
• SMSTS,
• CSCS
• Full U.K Driving License
