Project Financial Controller – Widnes – Construction/Facilities Management - £60,000 plus Company car or Allowance
Role
You will be responsible for the financial and accounting functions of the Project. You will be advising and leading in regard to the financial aspects of the project.
Duties
- To coordinate the preparation and help to present the Budget/Forecast
- Produce accurate monthly profit & loss with variance analysis to last budget.
- Run and coordinate end of month meetings to check the robustness of projections, accounts receivables, delays, liquidated damages and claims.
- Produce month end reports.
- Perform credit checks on clients and subcontractors.
- Assist with tracking and managing risks and opportunities to minimise risks and realise opportunities.
- Control, with the Commercial Management, the billing process, raising of sales invoices to clients, back charges, compensation events and make sure that there is proper supporting documentation.
- Ensure client debts are paid on time
- Maintain the integrity of the accounting systems and data.
- Assist with the management of cashflow
Candidate
- Experience as a Financial Controller
- 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
- Degree or qualification in Accounting or Finance - Desirable
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Experience with creating financial statements
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
- Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
