Job description

Working with an award winning supplier and specialist contractor to the construction industry I am currently recruiting for a Project Coordinator to join their team at their head office in Gloucestershire. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company who are already a leader in their field and offer sustainable construction solutions to a growing sector of the industry.

The role itself will involve the management and coordination of the three main areas of the business - design, manufacturing and site operations. Key elements to the role include monitoring the production of detailed design and managing the delivery of projects, development of project specific programmes, information release, key design coordination schedules and manufacturing schedules.

Other duties include:

* Assessing and pre-empt project constraints that may affect the overall programme on multiple projects at a time.
* Reporting to the Directing Board and Managing Director in relation to delivery Issues and Programme updates.
* Liaise between various departments and coordinate all aspects of the "Design Team" including Design schedules, manufacturing, and construction on site.
* Ensure site Health & Safety standards are adhered to.
* Ensure compliance of quality standards and processes through site visits and audits.
* Attend pre-start meetings, and design team meetings as required.
* Produce operation and programme co-ordination management information and reports for the Directing Board.
* Undertake and lead engineering / programme queries and provide solutions when required.
* Monitoring contractual design, manufacturing, site responsibilities and effectively manage related risks.
* Co-ordinate and liaise with Clients (customers), Main contractors and Architects etc.
* Commercial awareness and reporting as required.
* Business development plans.
* Site visits providing additional support to site personnel.
* Logistical Co-ordination
* Team Briefings

To be considered for this position you should have experience of working in a similar project coordination or project management role within the construction industry ideally within a subcontractor or design-manufacture-install. Specific interest in steel or timber frame or structural elements will be preferred. You must be able to work very well with people at all levels within a business and clients as well as being a self starter and being able to manage a complex and pressured workload with multiple projects at different stages running concurrently. You should have experience of using Microsoft Project, holding a full driving license is an absolute must.

In recognition of the hard work and talent required to make a success of this role there is a first class salary and package available, basic salary will be in the region of £45,000 to £55,000 per annum with a company car, pension and 25 days annual leave.
