Job Title: Project Commercial Manager (Water Industry, AMP6)
Type: Permanent Vacancy
Location: Peterborough & Cambridgeshire
Salary: Circa £68,000 to £73,000 Per Annum + Package
(Negotiable on Experience)

Our client, a large contractor within the Water Industry, is currently looking for a Commercial Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. The role will involve managing relevant major projects part of the AMP 6 framework, as well as overseeing & managing the current commercial team. Our client is ideally looking for candidates who have previous experience working within the water industry and who can offer expertise to the team, however candidates who have worked in other applicable industries may also be considered.

This specific role will involve delivering design and build projects across the Anglian Water region, working collaboratively with all contractors involved with the framework.

Main Duties & Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a commercial team & being accountable for the commercial and cost management of a project / programme of projects (inception to close out).
  • Ensuring that maximum efficiencies are obtained and that full compliance is adhered to (All processes and procedures met).
  • Providing a commercial challenge to the Project Lead and their team, on all project matters.
  • Ensure that the contract is properly administered, including timely issue of early warnings and advising the Project Lead on all matters related to compliance.
  • Proactive management of project and programme risk including ensuring that mitigation plans are in place and implemented

Applicable candidates will ideally have:

  • A Construction Degree or an equivalent qualification.
  • Experience of managing a commercial team.
  • Relevant Qualification (CICES or RICS) or working towards Chartership.
  • Experience of working within the Water or Wastewater sector.
  • Worked for construction contractors.
  • Understanding and knowledge of NEC forms of contract.
  • Sub contract management and procurement experience.
