Production/Manufacturing Engineer - Carnaby - 50K-60K - Starting ASAP

The key responsibilities for this role are:
* To be the focal point for operational technical interpretation of orders for Seismic products
* Evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators.
* Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors.
* To work in a safe and sensible manner within the boundaries of the Company Health and Safety Policy and any additional site restrictions.
* Identifying resourcing requirements and following relevant processes to ensure recruitment needs meet. This will include completing requisitions, shortlisting candidates, interviewing, and providing feedback.
* Drive continuous improvement methodology working with the team to deliver an efficient process and challenge the status quo
* Improves manufacturing efficiency by analysing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
* Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes.
* Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labour, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements.
* Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing information and trends.
* Be capable of design and the sourcing of quotations for jig's, fixtures, tooling and infrastructure and technologies.
* Provides manufacturing engineering information by answering questions and requests.
* Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations.
* Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures; requesting special service.
* Maintains product and process data base by writing computer programs, entering data.
* Completes design and development projects by training and guiding technicians.
* Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
* Be the focal point for all site queries around the Seismic manufacturing process



Personal Qualifications and Experience desired/needed:
* MUST have Six Sigma Belt or Advanced Lean Trained
* Good communication skills (communicating in a calm and collective manor.)
* Organised and motivated with the ability to achieve targets under pressure.
* Good Man & time Management, good communication, time management
* The ability to understand and carry out a verbal or written instruction
* Customer focused along with Forming good working relationships with both customers & suppliers.
* The ability to adapt to changing working conditions.
* The ability to specify and work within Hardware Specifications
* Be competent at implementation of manufacturing methods
* Be competent at writing and implementation of manufacturing Procedures
* The ability to remain aware of the cost implications throughout the task.
* Be familiar and able to work within APQP, PPAP, FMEA, DFM Quality, Product Development
* Presenting Technical Information, CAD, CAD/CAM Circuit Design
* Be competent user of AutoCAD, Revit and ideally have knowledge of BIM
* Be a certified Six Sigma Green belt or have Advanced lean training by an accredited body (bsi, ASQ etc.)
* Must be familiar with digital technologies AI, RFID, QR codes and use of HoloLens technologies
* Desirably from an Aerospace background
* The ability to priorities efficiently to achieve the end result.
* The ability to present yourself in a smart & professional manner always
