Job description

Our client undertakes civil engineering and construction related projects on behalf of Network Rail (platform extensions, bridge refurbishments, embankment schemes, station refurbishments etc) and is seeking an a Procurement Administrator to add to their team in West Yorkshire.

As a Procurement Administrator, it is your role to assist the materials procurement team with regular processing of purchase orders.

Your key tasks in this role include;

  • Responsibility for the day-to-day purchasing of various goods and services
  • Building strong relationships with major suppliers and benchmarking new suppliers
  • Negotiating prices and lead times with suppliers
  • Identifying opportunities for cost reduction

You must have an eye for detail and a can-do attitude to be successful within this position. You will be a confident communicator, well organised, self-motivated and be able to work on own initiative.

It is essential that you are IT literate, particularly with MS Office software.
