Job description

Principal Civil Engineer

Manchester

£40,000 - £50,000

A Principal Civil Engineer is required for a large international consultancy to be based within their Manchester office. The Civil Engineering team pride themselves on an exemplary track record of designing innovative and sustainable civil engineering and infrastructure solutions, focused on improving and protecting the environment in which we live, while providing the facilities for day-to-day life, ensuring that transport and industry function effectively.

The Civil Engineering team are a source of world leading expertise - and offer a pro-active and collaborative approach to skill development, and professional excellence.

Role:

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly credible, client focused and driven Civil Engineer to join our Manchester office to play a leading role in the design of some of the most exciting and prestigious civil engineering design projects in the UK and worldwide.

Leading a team of expert engineers and CAD technicians, and working closely with colleagues of various disciplines, you will manage the delivery of technically excellent and profitable projects. You will develop new and nurture existing outstanding client relationships that maximise satisfaction and ensure repeat business, and will use your wealth of expertise and determination to manage, motivate and inspire less experienced engineers.

Skills:

A Chartered Engineer, and accredited with a MEng degree (or equivalent) in Structural or Civil Engineering, you will have gained practical experience of civil engineering within a consultancy environment, and an accomplished level of relevant IT skills in design software such as AutoCAD, PDS and Civil CAD3D.

You have a portfolio of built environment experience demonstrating your quality and client focused approach, and have consistently demonstrated your ability to manage multiple large-scale projects and influence less experienced engineers to deliver to, and exceed client expectations. Crucially - you have a passion for creative and intuitive design.

If you would be interested in applying for this position or would like to discuss the opportunity in more detail then please either send an up to date CV across or call Karl French on 0113 242 0303.
