Planning Engineer required to lead on small to medium size projects and to support Planning or Project Control Managers on major project. This role is with a tier one contractor and is based in North London as part of a Major Project.


Produce plans and programmes for submissions
Identify risk to the programme
Train graduate and junior planning team members in the use of planning methods & techniques and programme software.
Communicate and gain approval from the project team for the methods proposed and the sequence of the plan utilising visual aids
(e.g. stage diagrams sequence diagrams etc.).
Contribute to evaluation of temporary works options.
Liaise and negotiate with suppliers communicating our proposed methods and sequence.
Identify the key resources and resource levels within the programme.
Manage the cost loading of the programme
Actively research issues to identify alternative solutions.
Promote and actively participate in know ledge share events.
Understand what BIM is, the contextual requirement for BIM Level 2 and its connection to the Government Construction Strategy
and Industrial Strategy 2025.

Required 4-5 years’ experience.
-Tier 1 contractor experience
-Experience with M&E fit out and producing programmes with multiple sub-contractor input
-Able to work alone, there isn’t a planning team as such in this role just support
-Able to get up to speed quickly
-Able to see the job through to March we cannot afford high churn on the job as it is short term
-Able to confidently update Cl32 programme monthly in P6 format
-Able to assess subcontractor programmes
-Use visual aids to communicate
-Working within IR35 (non-negotiable)
-Able to work on site 4 out of 5 days a week
