P-WAY ENGINEER - PRINCIPAL RAIL CONTRACTOR - GLASGOW - PERMANENT

P-Way Engineer currently required to join a CP6 Main Contractor in the Glasgow area. The role will involve all aspects of Permanent Way, including track renewals, plain line and S&C. The ideal candidate will ideally have over 3 years experience of working in a similar role, and have an excellent understanding of all P-Way works.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing all aspects of P-Way engineering works, including planning, design, build-ability, reviewing and monitoring ongoing works
  • Managing CRT Plans
  • Working closely with the Lead Engineer to ensure all works are planned effectively and works can be completed on time and within budget
  • Raising any technical queries, and looking for engineering solutions where possible
  • Completing all compliance requirements and H&S requirements
  • Overseeing project delivery and operational works

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified or equivalent in Railway engineering or civils
  • Current and valid PTS
  • Handback tickets will be a benefit
  • Experience of managing and outlining Critical Rail Temperature (CRT) Plans
  • Excellent understanding of Network Rail standards in relation to P-Way work
  • Able to complete all associated project paperwork in accordance with NWR standards
  • Experience of setting up Track Monitoring Plans
