Position: Operations Planner (Gas Utilities)

Salary: Negotiable - dependent on experience

Benefits: Healthcare, pension, mobile / laptop and 28 days holiday (including bank holidays)

Location: Kent

I have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Operational Planner to join a leading utility contractor based in Kent.

Responsibilities

  • Create, maintain, review and administer plans and schedules.
  • Liaise with Supervisors, Managers and Operational teams to discuss the progress of the plan and address any issues that arise.
  • Liaise with councils for notice administration.
  • Keep the internal and external clients up to date on plan progress.
  • Prepare and present information for internal planning meetings.
  • Mitigate risk by constantly monitoring plan vs actual.
  • A typical working week for a planner would be around 40-45hrs per week, however you would be required to work longer if there is a deadline fast approaching.

Qualifications/Experience

  • Turnaround preparation/execution and closeout planning experience.
  • Evidence of Excel usage.
  • Understanding of project planning principles and Earned Value Management processes.
  • Full, clean driving licence as some travel will be required.
  • Experience of working in the utilities sector preferred.

High standard of workmanship and professionalism will be expected as well as full compliance with site health and safety.
