MECHANICAL SITE MANAGER – PERMANENT – PECKHAM, LONDON – CIRCA £55,000 per annum plus benefits

AndersElite require an experienced Mechanical Site Manager on a permanent basis to join one of our premier clients, a leading building services contractor, based in the South East.

This is a permanent post which is hourly paid, circa £24.00 per hour (negotiable) working on average 45 hours per week Monday – Friday. As such typical annual earnings will be circa £55,000 with the ability to increase these depending on overtime hours worked. In addition, you will receive paid travel, company pension, annual leave entitlement and sick pay allowance.

Candidates should have a strong electrical contracting background and ideally experience of high-end residential projects of multi million pounds in value.

The first project will be a new build residential apartment site in Peckham, operating on behalf of the main M&E subcontractor. Following this further sites, both residential and commercial, will be offered usually in the Greater London and surrounding areas.

This position is available immediately although candidates needing to work a notice period will still be considered.

Reporting into the Mechanical Contracts Manager, the Mechanical Site Manager will be in charge of mechanical installation packages, driving sub contract labour and ensuring programme deadlines are met whilst maintaining quality installation levels on site.

• Good people management and motivational skills
• Control of electrical labour
• The ability to work under pressure to meet set deadlines
• The ability to plan ahead, co-ordinate and prioritise workloads
• Attend project meetings with clients
• Fully responsible in assuring the installation is of a high standard
• Tool box talks
• Risk assessments and method statements
• Fully understand Design Drawings
• Must be IT literate

Candidates should have the SMSTS (Site Manager’s Safety Training Scheme) and / or SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) plus CSCS card and ideally a 1st Aid at work qualification in order to apply.
