Mechanical Project Manager - Permanent - Solihull- circa £50,000 basic plus company benefits

AndersElite are recruiting for a Mechanical Project Manager for a national building services contractor based in the Solihull area.

This is a permanent position (available February 2022 onwards) and will offer a salary, depending on experience, of approximately £50,000 per annum plus benefits, including company car or car allowance, excellent company bonus scheme, pension and some private healthcare.

Our client is well established in the UK building services market, so this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to be part of a developing team and thriving business.

Reporting into the regional Operations Manager, the selected candidate will be required to manage mechanical services installations on new build and refurbishment projects, usually in the commercial, residential, industrial, education and healthcare sectors. Typical projects will range from £1m up to £5m in mechanical services value, so applicants should have proven experience as the overall mechanical lead on projects of this size in relevant building environments.

Applicants must be prepared to travel to London as required for site meetings, usually 1-2 days per week. The rest of the time will be spent in the regional office in Solihull. The client company are able to fund all travel and if required lodgings to support this.

The Mechanical Project Manager will be fully commercially responsible for the running of allocated projects from inception through to completion, overseeing design and project planning and managing the site installation team to deliver the project. The selected candidate will also be responsible for final account performance.

This position is available from February 2022, with applications welcome from candidates who are either immediately available or serving a notice period with their current employer.

It is advantageous for candidates to possess a degree / HNC in Building Services or any other technical qualifications, including SMSTS / CSCS for site management, although all applicants will be judged primarily on their previous experience.
