Anderselite are looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Planner to start ASAP in Birmingham B46 1AQ

Duties & Responsibilities include: 

• Regular planning meetings with the maintenance and prodn departments to ensure the preventative maintenance is completed when scheduled
• Prepare and issue work permits in accordance with the Permit to Work (PTW) system, including organisation of isolation and de-isolation of the plant (by others), ensuring engineering activities can be carried out safely – This will be subject to discussion once in position and after suitable training
• Identify opportunities for continued improvement, making recommendations and implementing initiatives to improve maintenance planning
• Monitor achievements to the maintenance schedule, identifying and agreeing corrective actions and improvement to ensure achievement incl Tuesday mtce downday preparation, presentation, and performance reporting
  
• Manage and co-ordinate with third party engineering and maintenance suppliers to ensure full execution of agreed works
• Alongside stock levels, sourcing and gathering materials, spares and resources as required via approved vendors to ensure timely availability

The successful candidate will need to have the following skills: 

• Computer literate in Microsoft Office packages and computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS)
• Previous experience of maintenance planning and/or permit to work (preferred but not essential)
•  Highly organised with the ability to deal with and prioritise competing demands and the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing to cross functional teams and third party suppliers
• Must have Mechanical experience
