Job description

We are currently recruiting an M&E Project Manager for a leading UK multi-disciplinary contractor, to work on large projects across commercial, healthcare, industrial sectors in the Derby area

The projects will be valued between £3m to £15m

Responsibilities

  • To manage all activities in line with the company IPCD.
  • To manage all activities in line with the Project Process Document.
  • To manage the resources on the project on a day to day basis and to report any staff issues as appropriate.
  • Manage project commercial issues and cost reporting (WIP).
  • To identify the clients requirements and ensure we deliver these requirements to the clients' satisfaction.
  • Represent the company on any internal or external issues.
  • Prepare detailed plans and procedures to administer the project and ensure the project team are familiar with and follow these guidelines.
  • To manage all project reporting is provided upstream and downstream on a timely manner.
  • Regularly audit the project to ensure compliance.
  • Communicate with the project team regularly on project specific matters and company initiatives.
  • To manage the project cash flow is positive throughout the life of the project.
  • To manage procurement and achieve best value for the business.
  • Identify all risks and manage actions and implementation to mitigate such risks.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Educated to HND Level in Mechanical or Electrical discipline (essential) or Degree Level (desirable).
  • Holds SMTS as a minimum qualification.
  • Experience of M&E project management gained within a medium to large sized M&E contractor (essential).
  • Experience of managing projects from £3m to £15m.
  • Experience of working on projects within the healthcare, P21, industrial or commercial sectors.
  • Must be able to produce detailed designs and specifications, read drawings.
  • Will ideally have come from a trades background and progressed into project management.
