Job Description
Anderselite is currently seeking a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join a major Project team to manage all costs within large infrastructure schemes and civil engineering. The projects will involve major works or several smaller ventures. Whilst managing budgets and forecasting costs, you will be expected to
- Minimise costs on projects and achieving high standards and quality in line with policies
- Managing a commercial team and leading to win and maintain business
- Risk manage and analyse any threats that are internal and external within projects
- Manage disruption programmes
- Cost management, cost planning and precontract cost control
- Manage customers and stakeholders interests in area of responsibility
- Creating and managing contracts and devising correspondences
- Mentor and encourage team to develop team members
- Monitor and control processes within the projects
Key Skills and Qualification
- BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or demonstrate equivalent experience
- Membership of RICS, ICES or CIOB
- Understanding of construction and contract law
- Experience in Strategic Change Management
- Negotiating skills with clients and subcontractors
- Knowledge within the tendering and procurement processes
- Understanding of construction techniques on specialised projects
- Risk Management and experience analysing potential threats within the business
- Proven experience of managing teams within commercial settings
