Anders Elite are working with an established Construction business who have a global presence and are looking to bring on board a Managing Quantity Surveyor for the start of a Major Project in London.
We are looking for an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor who can demonstrate experience and expertise at this level and has worked within a Tier 1 or Principle contractor.
Your duties will include:
Change Control
Tendering and Pre-contract Activities
Providing commercial support during the tendering process
Writing up and implementing procedures
Subcontract procurement
Preparation of work packages
working with the supply chain to measure continuous improvement in terms of cost
Management, preparation and settlement of final accounts, including variations, claims and disputes
Cost Control
Producing CVR reports and forecasts as well as setting of financial targets
Maintaining robust reporting structures and monitoring resources and costs to ensure that project meets targets
Risk and opportunity Management
Subcontract administration
Putting in place robust subcontract change control procedures
Managing compensation events, variations, claims and disputes
Essential skills and experience required:
Experience of working at the start of a multi-million pound project
A high level of understanding and working knowledge of project start up procedures
Involvement in writing up procedures and implementation thereof
A high level of understanding of planning and programming as well as detailed knowledge of financial reporting
Project Completion, Project close out and material records
Civil Engineering, Bridges, Footpaths, Earthworks and utilities
Qualifications required:
BSc in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or something similar
RICS Accredited is preferred but not essential, alternatively
