We are currently working with a leading Facilities Management provider to recruit a Maintenance Manager to work across a number of prestigious sites in the centre of London

Summary of Role:
A pivotal role in the operations team managing the delivery of services within the estate. The position has responsibility for the operational delivery of all works including planned, reactive and small quoted works. The successful applicant will Line Manage a team of mobile engineers and suppliers to ensure service delivery is to the highest standards and maintained across multiple parks. Continually reviewing operating performance to ensure engineering efficiency and first-time fix ratio is maximised whilst engineering travel and non-productive time is kept to an absolute minimum.

The core function of the MRT Manager is the efficient overall management and co-ordination of the works on the assigned Contract to ensure compliance with the contract deliverables & Key Performance Indicators.
Ensuring works are completed to programme, budget and quality standards expected by the client in a professional and ethical manner adhering to commercial guidelines, established best practice and professional/company standards.
They will ensure that all works including those of suppliers and subcontractors are supervised and coordinated to deliver on safety, quality and environmental objectives. The role will generally oversee all areas of the assigned contract however at times focus will be required on key sites or packages that are not meeting the project objectives or where improvement is required.
* Set technical standards for the business in line with statutory and/or good practice guidelines
* Provide guidance and support for the front-end delivery teams to ensure compliance with adopted technical standards
* Liaise with technical leads to contribute to the establishment and audit of best practice operational delivery inc HV / LV and Gas / Legionella / LOLER and other 'statutory', activities Provide an audit function and reporting to report performance in the delivery of standards

Specific Tasks & Responsibilities:

* Continually review the work type and volumes to ensure a suitably skilled workforce is available
* Monitor daily job completion rates both planned and reactive tasks, travel time and first time fix ratio to ensure maximum engineering efficiency and minimum travel time are guaranteed
* Review repeat job visit information daily and take appropriate action to ensure first time fix ratio is maximised
* Monitor vehicle tracking system and action as required
* Ensure complete statutory, contractual and Health and Safety compliance,
* Engineering team timesheet approval and sign-off (out of hours only), review of engineers paperwork. Ensuring site issues are highlighted to client and all engineering work recommendations are actioned, and up to date for each site.
* Engage with the HR and Fleet teams in relation to new starter and leaver process and all matters relating to
* Communicate effectively with senior management and Account Management teams in all matters relating to operational delivery.
* To manage internal client expectations within the contract, take ownership of client escalations and deliver satisfactory resolutions
* Engineer development to ensure that a high-quality team is maintained including performance management. Succession planning and personal development.
* Authorise and manage engineering holiday periods ensuring adequate resource is available at all times
* Ensure Compliance audits are acted upon and closed off within the designated Timescale.

Candidate requirements:

CSCS: CSCS Card or Similar qualification required
Qualifications: Relevant recognised trade training/apprenticeship
Relevant Experience: Experience of managing a team of engineers/technician (greater than 15) across multiple sites with hard service background in Fabric, and M&E. Knowledge of identifying, scoping and quoting small works will also be an advantage.
