Job description

I have an excellent opportunity for an experienced LV/HV Electrical Project Manager, to join a well-established ICP (Independent Connections provider), based in the North West of England.

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the construction, installation and commissioning of New Electricity Contestable Connections.

You will be required to deliver contracts on time and within budget, whilst ensuring that you're managing and meeting the customer's expectations.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Ensure project delivery and high-quality services through management of the operational teams
  • Be responsible for the team's performance in line with budgets, key performance indicators and contractual requirements
  • Maintain relationships with the client on each contract
  • Ensure Company and legislative requirements are met, including Health & Safety and CDM Regulations
  • Produce written reports and communicate effectively with all stakeholders

Skills/ qualifications that are required for this role:

  • Proven experience 2 years + within the DNO/IDNO or ICP private networks
  • Fully conversant with the industry standards, practices and procedures
  • Minimum of 2 years operational experience in 11kV
  • Previous substation experience within testing & commissioning
  • Ability to coordinate site activities and ensure the safety of all involved
  • Have a strong understanding of commercial terms and conditions and the impact it will have on project delivery
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Have good communication skills - verbal and written
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Current ECS/CSCS card
