Exciting new opportunity to join an award-winning design and engineering consultancy on a contract basis. They have a requirement for a Lead Planner to work in Ulverston within our Client's Environment Business Division.

If you're an experienced Construction Planner/Scheduler and ambitious to achieve your career potential, read on. Our client will ensure you get the experience and personalised learning support you need to take your career as far as you want it to go.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, review and reporting of Project & Program Schedules. You will be working on consultancy projects within the Chemical and Pharmaceutical sectors. You will also be supporting managers and executive personal in achieving excellent service and positive outcomes for all parties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare project schedules for larger projects more than £1 million.
  • Ensure robust schedule data is provided for reporting purposes
  • Develop progress measurement tools
  • Work with the Program Support Group to improve schedule data, format consistency and general project controls
  • Provide scheduling support to Project Managers and Cost Managers, including review and challenge of schedules provided by others

Candidate Specification:

  • Pharmaceutical Experience and in-depth knowledge of Validation and Construction
  • Must have a "shut down" experience and mentality
  • Beneficial to have 'At Risk' capability
  • Must be proficient with the use of Primavera P6
  • Construction Planning Experience
  • Able to interrogate contractor schedules and feedback face-to-face with contracting parties
