Proposals / Bid Writer – Civils/Highways – Cheshire – up to £36,000

My client is a well-established and well-known Civils’ contractor in the North-West region, they are involved in major highways construction and other infrastructure projects throughout the region.

They are looking for a Bid Writer who has the energy and enthusiasm to develop and learn from a highly experienced and knowledgeable team of senior proposals staff in the business. They are looking for the next generation of dynamic individuals to work alongside and mould into future Proposals Co-ordinators.

Role and Duties

Produce professionally written proposal content that articulates win themes. This is a highly networked role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and demanding deadlines. The Proposal Writer plays a leading role in ensuring the effective coordination and timely completion of tenders. The Proposal Writer will help develop and articulate the win themes

You will deliver completed written proposal responses to the Proposal Manager against agreed deadlines and undertake market research to understand client drivers and proactively develop and manage a network of subject matter experts.

You will also assist the Bid/Proposal Manager in developing a proposal structure and deliverables programme and lead and/or support win themes and answer plan/storyboard sessions, making sure these are articulated in such a way to meet/exceed the client’s requirements

Strong academic background (degree level) in English Language or equivalent is desirable
Experience in the industry is preferred
Experience and knowledge of the bid process
Drive and enthusiasm to learn and succeed
Work under pressure
Proficient in Microsoft Word
Management and prioritisation skills
