Anderselite are currently recruiting for a HR Coordinator, on behalf of a tier one contractor in the West Midlands. This role is to join their West Midlands division and will provide you with the opportunity to assist in the developent of some of the countrys leading infrastructure projects. 

Purpose of the Role

To provide a high-quality, cost-effective HR and Recruitment service for our client. To ensure the effective operation of internal administration and recruitment processes, and to provide first line support for related queries in assigned business unit/units.

The role requires confidentiality, flexibility, dedication, and commitment, and includes inputting data into in-house systems/excel spreadsheets, key performance indicator reporting, and first point of contact responsibilities for recruitment and onboarding.

The successful candidate will be required to visit site / offices across project locations, which includes Wolverhampton, Dudley, and Central Birmingham on occasion.

 

Key Areas of Responsibility & Accountability 

HR:  

  • Ensure effective delivery of all internal HR administration processes including for employees, contract preparation, arranging BPSS security checks, OH medical referrals, IT asset requests, tracking probation periods, lead the induction process and HR data management.
  • Tracking and reporting on the PDR process.
  • Support the HR Manager with first level employee relations casework and liaise with HR contacts as appropriate on ER cases identified from parent companies.
  • Support the attendance management procedure via pro-active management of sickness, i.e., identifying trends, ensuring relevant return to work interview paperwork is completed and retained, monitoring long term sickness, and referring to OH etc.
  • Undertake periodic new starter interviews and track and monitor trends to enable data to be provided to AMT.
  • Track and monitor training requests, maintain the budget tracker, and liaise with clients training team in relation to identified courses, costs and issuing of training agreements.
  • Involvement in HR projects as required, including development and delivery of inductions, staff engagement, and supporting the periodic staff survey process.
  • Meet and greet new starters on their first day at various site office locations.

Person Specification:

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience as a HR/Recruitment Administrator or Coordinator and used to operating in a fast-paced environment.  Strong customer service and Microsoft word/excel skills with attention to detail and ability to learn quickly is also required, with a willingness to travel on occasion to project sites across the area.

 

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Relevant HR qualification or demonstrable experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to prioritize work, and achieve deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Team player with an ability to work on own initiative
  • Customer focused
  • Highly proficient user of Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel
  • Experience of using HR systems
  • Basic understanding of HR practices and employment/recruitment legislation
  • Experience of working as part of a team in a client-focused environment to meet challenging deadlines in a volume orientated resourcing/recruiting environment
