HR Advisor | Southampton | £34,000-£38,000 p/a + benefits

Anderselite are currently recruiting for an experienced HR Advisor to join an established consultancy organisation within their Southampton office. This is a permanent opportunity, with a competitive salary and benefits package on offer, working within a progressive operational environment.

Working closely with the HR Business Partner, this role entails providing a professional, customer-focused HR service, supporting the implementation of HR strategies and giving responsive, comprehensive advice to support the business. Specific areas of focus will be on recruitment & selection, employee relations, policies & procedures and absence management.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the effective delivery of internal and external resourcing and recruitment, providing pragmatic advice and support to managers.
  • Arrange and undertake interviews and assessments and provide input and professional advice and knowledge to decision making and feedback to candidates as required.
  • Managing the offer process and oversee the preparation of contracts of employment and interfacing with the HR Coordinator for on boarding purposes.
  • Work with line managers to develop HR planning strategies which consider immediate and near-term staff requirements.
  • Analyse and evaluate issues connected to UK employment law, using appropriate data to provide solutions, consequences and recommendations to senior managers.
  • Providing advice and guidance on HR policies and HR related issues to support understanding and ensure effective communication of good HR practice.
  • Ensure effective monitoring of sickness trends and remedial action and to facilitate a proactive approach to absence management, ensuring a smooth return to work process.
  • Admin tasks ensuring all data on manual and computerised records are accurate and up to date and providing accurate and timely reports.

The ideal candidate for this position will have proven knowledge of the recruitment market and broad experience in all aspects of HR. Ideally you will also have a relevant HR qualification (i.e. CIPD Level 3 or above) and will have a solid understanding of UK employment legislation.
