HUMAN RESOURCES ADVISOR - SKIPTON

I am actively looking to recruit a HR Advisor to join my clients fast-paced team in Skipton. The HR function is evolving rapidly due to the speed of growth the company is currently enjoying.

The key responsibilities will include:

  • Support and coach managers to effectively manage all aspects of employee relations including discipline, grievance, absence and performance management
  • Assist with the ongoing development of Company policies and procedures
  • Provide advice and guidance to employees on HR related matters
  • Maintain excellent understanding of employment law and HR best practice to ensure advice and guidance is accurate and up to date
  • Work with the HR Manager and Senior HR Advisor to support with the development of the team, including mentoring
  • Contribute to HR related projects including conducting research and preparing proposals
  • Carry out drugs and alcohol testing in accordance with Company policy
  • Quality checking work completed by the HR Administrator, Placement and Assistant

Candidate Specification

The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to work well under pressure.

The successful candidate will also have the following:

* Previous HR Advisory experience
* Strong knowledge of UK employment law
* Good understanding of HR policies and procedures
* Excellent time management and organisation skills
* Ability to work using own initiative
* Effective communication skills
* Flexible approach to work and able to travel to other offices/sites

You will also need to have strong IT skills, as you will be required to operate MS Office programs such as Word and Excel. Experience on Lotus Notes would be advantageous but is not essential.

Salary in region of £27,000 plus package.
