Job description

Anderselite are currently recruiting for an experienced HR Advisor to join a well-established, global organisation within their Southampton office. This is a permanent opportunity, with a competitive salary on offer and strong development possibilities, working in a progressive and professional working environment.

Working closely with the HR Business Partner, this role entails providing a professional, customer-focused HR service, supporting the implementation of HR strategies and giving responsive, comprehensive advice to support team managers in all aspects of HR. specific focus will be on employee relations, policies & procedures, absence management and recruitment & selection.

The key focus of this role is to:

  • Build effective working relationships with employees at all levels, providing advice and guidance on a range of HR policies and HR related issues to support understanding and ensure effective communication of good HR practice.
  • Analyse and evaluate issues connected to UK employment law, using appropriate data to provide solutions, consequences and recommendations to senior managers to aid decision making.
  • Manage the effective delivery of internal and external resourcing and recruitment, providing pragmatic HR advice and support to managers, including the development of job descriptions and selection procedures.
  • Arrange and undertake interviews and assessments, prepare interview guides, and provide input and professional advice and knowledge to decision making and feedback to candidates as required.
  • Work with line managers to develop HR planning strategies which consider immediate and near-term staff requirements.
  • Manage the offer process and oversee the preparation of contracts of employment and interfacing with the HR Coordinator for on boarding purposes.
  • Ensure effective monitoring of sickness trends and remedial action and to facilitate a proactive approach to absence management, ensuring a smooth return to work process.
  • Support the HR Business Partner and provide advice on a full range of HR matters, to ensure the effective management of employees to achieve business needs.
  • Act as a role model for more junior members of the HR team; working collaboratively to ensure the first line HR service is delivered efficiently and effectively.

The ideal candidate for this position will have proven knowledge of the recruitment market and experience in all aspects of HR. Ideally you will hold a relevant HR qualification (i.e. CIPD Level 7 Diploma in Human Resource Management) and will have a solid understanding of UK employment legislation.
