Job description

Highways project Manager up to £65'000 per annum

working closely with a large tier 1 contractor, I am now looking for an experienced Highways Project Manager to join my client's team to cover the North of England. As the successful candidate, you will ensure the successful completion of projects for the Highways Team by achieving acceptable financial outcomes, whilst maintaining and improving client relationships, and adherence to the policies of the client. Experience in Highways, earthwrosk, piling, steel structures and temporary work.

Key resonsibilities are:

Resource allocation and management of Site staff , ensuring effective delegation of tasks (e.g. quality checks and setting out) to team members;

Ensure timely methodology selection and preparation and completion of Method Statements, Risk and COSHH Assessments, and permits to work;

Reporting monthly to Contracts/Project Manager on the project cost value and progress against programme;

Ensure safe systems of work and adherence to Company Health and Safety Policy;

develop and manage the Project Management Plan;

Ownership, leadership and promotion of project compliance with the Specification and the Company Policies for Quality, Health, Safety, Environmental and sustainability issues;

Undertake the roles assigned within the contract PMP;

Develop supply chain relationships with suppliers and sub-contractors for the benefit of the project and future contracts including Manage subcontractor operations and coordination and holding collaborative meetings;

Maintain and develop client relationships for ensuring a successful outcome on completion and enhancing opportunities for securing repeat work;

Develop team culture to create an environment where motivation and morale is high and earn respect of team members to gain their commitment and support that ensures their optimum input in the project.

To be successful, you will hold SMSTS, HND or similar qualification in Civil Engineering, First Aid, NEC3 knowledge and Temporary works.
