Health, Safety and Environment Advisor - Falkirk - £30k-£35k+package (company car/car allowance, pension, healthcare, life assurance and a number of other benefits) - construction/housebuilding

Fantastic opportunity for a NEBOSH qualified HEalth and Safety professional to join an established but growing new-build contractor with operations across the Central Belt, with opportunity for progression into a Health and Safety Manager role within a multi-tiered HSE team.

Purpose of Role:-
Supporting the Health, Safety and Environment Manager in the provision of Health & Safety across the operating businesses including both site and office based operations.

Key Responsibilities:-
* Monitor, support and enforce, where necessary, the correct implementation of Health & Safety Policy across the Business;
* Assist the Group H,S & E Manager to provide support to the Business during their pre-planning activities and working up of site specific Health & Safety Plans;
* Assist the Group H,S & E Manager with initial subcontractor prequalification and then subsequent assessment and monitoring of site specific SSoW and associated RAMS;
* Provide Health & Safety assistance and advice to the Business with the objective being to meet build targets safely;
* Assist the Group H,S & E Manager with the production of monthly performance reports on behalf of the Group;
* Carry out dynamic work place inspections, providing corrective advice & guidance where necessary;
* Monitor and report on specialist subcontractor's Health and Safety compliance;
* Assist the Group H,S & E Manager with internal Health and Safety Management reviews;

Qualifications / Experience:-
To be successful for this position, you will need proven, significant experience of operating at a senior health and safety leadership level preferably within an organisation that utilises internal and subcontracted site operatives. You will also need:
* Formal qualification to a minimum of NEBOSH National General Certificate / Construction Certificate or equivalent;
* Familiar with the processes associated with the introduction of policies, procedures, processes and systems.
* Proven experience of assisting to establish and maintain a positive health and safety culture in a complex, multi-site organisation;
* The self-motivation and energy required to work and effectively contribute to a dynamic Health & Safety Department;
* Be able to demonstrate good and efficient communication (written/verbal) and presentation skills;
* Must be proficient or be capable of planning, project management, organisation and decision-making;
* Should demonstrate confidence when faced with situations requiring problem solving and analysis skills;
* Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills;
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities;
* Ability to work closely with all levels of Site and Contractors Management.
* Although not essential, it is preferable that candidates have a good knowledge and experience of Construction with a particular emphasis on new build housing projects.

Performance Measures
* Completion of allocated tasks in a timely manner and to an acceptable level of Quality.
* Clear demonstration of the ability to provide appropriate levels Monitoring, Support and where necessary Enforcement across all Business functions.
* Efficient and effective provision of support to the Group Health & Safety Team as appropriate.
* Good communication skills at all levels.
