Job description

  • Management of fleet monitoring and telematics solutions.
  • Deliver maximum utilisation to deliver full benefits, including former supplier migration.
  • Expert advice, direction and input to Group Fleet senior management on Telematics and Driver Behaviour initiatives and issues.
  • Internal and external assurance of vehicle fleet telematics and driver behaviour compliance in line with Group Fleet and internal policies, procedures and process
  • Drive supplier account reviews and SLA monitoring, to deliver benefits.
  • Deliver Business Unit customer reviews.
  • Analyse trends and driver behaviours to drive and communicate key areas of focus and priorities.
  • Track improvements in commercial savings, safety and compliance.
  • Monitor and understand telematics trends developments and opportunities to further enhance benefits, customer service, safety and compliance, etc.
  • Accurate asset capture, invoicing, data capture including mobilisation and demobilisation projects.

KEY TASKS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Proactively supporting the Fleet Management team, Business Unit Transport Managers, Group Fleet Compliance Managers, Group SHEA Manager (Compliance) and Group Insurance.
  • Providing advice and guidance in the management of Telematics and Driver Behaviour affecting Occupational Road Risk.
  • Setting baseline metrics and SLA's with Group Fleet Management and the wider business and measuring the benefits delivered via the operation of telemetry systems and improved driver performance.
  • Actively supporting business development projects in providing vehicle clarification and legal requirements.
  • Contributing to design and delivery of Fleet Telematics and Driver Behaviour compliance training programmes.
  • Working with and providing support to Group Fleet administration staff.
  • Developing and implementing monthly customer / Business Unit compliance, key areas of focus, improvements and driver behaviour trend reports and improvements.
  • Contributing to and delivering SLA's / KPI's.
  • Providing best practice sharing to Fleet customers and stakeholders and input to bids and tenders involving Fleet.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience with and intuitive understanding of Telematics, Telematics reporting and monitoring systems, including integration with third party suppliers.
  • Experience of working within a large Fleet and engaging with a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Technical working knowledge of all vehicle categories including heavy goods vehicles (both O Licence and exempt) vehicles and related sensors.
  • Ability to analyse data, generate detailed and executive summary reports using trend data.
  • Developing new Telematics propositions to target specific customer requirements, needs and segments.
  • Identifying enhancements to existing Telematics propositions, to drive additional value.
  • Leading on the delivery on new product development projects ensuring the projects are delivered within agreed timings and budgets.
  • Management of internal and external relationships on a day to day basis and identifying new opportunities to exploit savings and improvements within the supply and value chain.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

  • Successful candidate will be required to deliver SLA's and KPI's that will be reviewed on a regular basis with the Fleet Operations Manager and Group Fleet senior management.
  • Delivery of measurable savings, commercial benefits, safety (Driver Behaviour) improvements and customer service.
  • Delivery of Management Information, reporting and data analysis.
  • Telematics utilisation, asset control, mobilisation and demobilisation.
  • Supplier, stakeholder and customer management and service deliverable reviews in-line with targets and performance requirements.
  • Training and customer / stakeholder delivery to requirements.
  • Adherence to Group policies, procedures and process.
  • Risk identification, mitigation and Management of Road Risk.
  • Accident / incident (including third party claims) reduction.
