This position is one that sits within the Pre-Construction/Bids Team.

The Company

Our client is a leading fit-out and refurbishment specialist delivering projects in London and the South East. We and are independently run and have been since our inception in 2003. We deliver both residential and commercial fit outs for a vast array of clients (private, blue chip & white collar). Along with fit out and refurbishments, we are also highly experienced in the delivery of structural alterations, building extensions, basement digs etc. We are buildability experts across the entire spectrum of industry, from fast track office fit-outs, bespoke residential projects through to heritage listed scheduled ancient monuments

The Role:

The Graphic Designer/Desktop Publisher will report to the Bid Coordinator and liaise with the Pre-Construction and Graphic Design teams. You'll be producing creative responses to briefs and take the lead and ownership of projects, using your knowledge and creative thinking to produce high quality outcomes for your portfolio.

Duties and Responsibilities of our Graphic Designer/Desktop Publisher will include:

  • Manage the end design and production of all tender documents, company literature and marketing
  • Work with our Bid Coordinator and ensure the content of our tender submissions are in accordance with each client's requirements
  • Manage the development of the design theme for each return, ensure they are unique and reflect the client's operations and type of work being undertaken
  • Ensure that case studies are produced for each completed product, review the edited photographs so they best represent our tender offering
  • Set out our guidelines for the photographers so they understand our needs for each set of photographs
  • Manage with the printers the tender documents, review the materials being used, papers, and other forms and tailor these to suit the theme of the tender, identify cost efficient solutions based on the number of documents being produced
  • Produce content to upload to social media, include that used for our website, develop social media presence and voice
  • Ensure that any company livery is produced in line with our company standards, develop this with our construction teams and identify the most cost-efficient solutions
  • Review and finalise any advertising campaigns (both print and digital media), packaging across each brand, promotional materials etc.
  • Produce any press releases, brochures, leaflets and the like, manage their production and budget
  • Add value to the preconstruction team by working to offer guidance and advice on how we can improve our tendering offerings so that as a company we can constantly work to improve our process and maximise our tender win rate and ultimately be more successful in securing future work

Skills Required

  • Previously established, 2-3 years of experience in digital and print graphic design
  • Strong typography, design and layout skills
  • Highly proficient in Adobe Creative software/ Photoshop/ InDesign/ Illustrator
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS
  • Creatively driven and a keen eye for detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • A working knowledge of AutoCAD 2000

Preferable but not essential skills:

  • Knowledge and understanding of the construction industry

Salary Offered: £25,000 - £30,000
