Graduate/ Consultant Masterplanner


The Opportunity
Due to our growing reputation with exciting new instructions in large strategic masterplan promotions and outline planning applications, through to reserved matters and detailed planning schemes we are now seeking a Graduate to Consultant level Masterplanner to join our Masterplanning team. Given our flexible working approach the position could be in either the South Wales or South West areas.

The Role
We are looking for a talented, enthusiastic and highly organised team player with a sound knowledge of urban design and a genuine interest in the environment. The role will include assisting in the production of all typical masterplanning services, including: feasibility appraisals concept, illustrative and detailed masterplan schemes site promotion and preparing Vision Documents preparation of residential planning application packages and producing Design and Access Statements.
Our masterplanning approach is environmentally-led with a strong focus on innovative green infrastructure planning and design. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills by working closely with our existing team of experienced masterplanners and learning directly from the other core environmental disciplines within the company. We firmly believe in supporting and developing its team members and considers this role a great opportunity for someone to gain experience on a wide range of projects with support and mentorship to develop their own career.


Your Skills
You will have strong graphic skills and excellent verbal and visual presentation abilities, and able to communicate this through using a range of media including Vectorworks, Adobe Creative Suite, QGIS, 3D design software and hand drawing. A demonstrable background in residential layout design at a reserved matters planning stage will be an advantage. Our ideal candidate will be proactive, positive and a confident communicator, and preferably with experience gained in a design practice working on residential led masterplanning projects.
In addition to the right qualifications and experience you will also have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be personable, passionate, and proactive. You will be able to work effectively on your own and as part of a team, and hold a full, valid UK driving licence. You will also have full right to work in the UK.
