Job description

Anderselite currently have a contract opportunity commencing in March 2018 for an experienced Facilities Project Manager with a leading main contractor, to be based in London.

Working within the Facilities Services team, in the healthcare sector, you will manage and deliver the Trust/ SPV lifecycle and small works projects from inception to completion, including income generation work, providing a fully-comprehensive project management strategy.

Your role will include design, estimating, arranging for the ordering of materials and plant, resource planning and implementation of direct/ contract labour to coordinate all life cycle and small works projects, pre-planning these with relevant stakeholders and liaising with relevant parties throughout.

As Project Manager, you will also be responsible for checking the built works to ensure defect-free and management of any remedial works required, signing off once completed satisfactorily and reviewing/ authorising subcontractor applications for payment.

Further duties will include:

  • Modifying site drawings on AutoCAD as required and uploading on to Dome.
  • Reporting monthly to the Commercial Manager, and as required
  • Maintaining electronic storage of all lifecycle/ project documentation
  • Ensuring works are invoiced in a timely manner and recovering costs
  • Working with several software packages, including AutoCAD, Access, MS Project, Visio and IMS systems/ asset data base systems

Relevant technical qualification to HNC standard as a minimum or degree plus 10 years' experience in engineering and building maintenance operations is required for this position, alongside proven experience in delivering multiple complex projects to a value of £1.5m. Previous experience managing projects within healthcare or a similar environment is also a necessity for this role, working to CDM regulations. You must also hold a relevant H&S qualification (particularly NEBOSH).

Ideally, you will be a proactive person with excellent communication skills, both client-facing and in building internal relationships, with demonstrative experience working to British Standards and current regulations.
