We are currently working with a leading Facilities Services provider to recruit a Facilities Manager for a large Education contract in the Barnet area, North London

Summary of Role:

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Facilities Manager to provide excellence of service in all aspects of facilities and estate management at our historic school. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive environment in a thriving School which occupies a beautiful site with extensive grounds in the area.

The role will include managing all aspects of facilities across the estate including building services, Health & Safety and security. The ideal candidate will be experienced in leading a team, ideally with strong technical knowledge, excellent interpersonal skills and an eye for detail.

Tasks & Responsibilities:
* Ensure effective systems are established to support the operational needs of the Account
* Ensure CAFM systems are in place to optimise the management of all planned and reactive works
* Leads and collates the output of knowledge share
* Engages specialist capability where needed
* Develops management resource plans to meet operational needs and effects change where required
* Support the Account Manager and Commercial teams in managing the finances of the Account
* Maintain commercial, technical, legal and insurance knowledge to support the Account
* Ensure correct commercial procedures are followed to ensure the Clients budgets requirements are adhered to and the Account is not exposed to financial risk.
* Support the commercial team in developing quotes/business cases for out of scope/additional works
* Undertake all duties in a manner that is professional and in accordance with the latest Code of Ethics and Conduct
* Actively work to improve the public perception and brand of the business
* Demonstrates and maintains a high level of operational and commercial knowledge and works closely with the delivery team to review techniques and solutions to meet business and customer needs
* Early identification of business risks in projects and ensuring that risk management, risk registers and contingency are in place to manage a minimise risk

Qualifications:
* Health & Safety NEBOSH qualification or the willingness to undertake this.
* Professional qualification such as BIFM Diploma, RICS FM Associate, MSc Facilities Management or industry equivalent is desirable.
* All applicants will be subject to a relevant level DBS check.

Relevant Experience:
Education sector experience desired.
Excellent people skills - an ability to adapt your style as required and manage teams.
Excellent commercial skills - demonstrate a savviness and awareness of commercial reality.
