Facilities Coordinator – Construction – Permanent – Preston – Up to £28,000

The role is Facilities Coordinator, and it largely involves admin work around the coordination of construction plant hire and equipment. The person would need to be good at using excel and access and have decent knowledge of construction plant.

As a Facilities Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the maintenance and operations of our facilities. Your main duties will include coordinating repairs and maintenance, managing vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

• To ensure all administrative procedures are in place for audit and control purposes
• Maintain records of plant and machinery hired by the Company, including the hired-in database.
• Respond to telephone enquiries from external suppliers and site and contract management.
• Check and verify supplier prices and rates reporting on issues and discrepancies to the Facilities Manager.
• Maintain good client relationships with external suppliers and sites.
• Proactively review processes and procedures and make recommendations for improvements or cost savings where appropriate

- Previous experience in facility management or a similar role within the plant hire industry.
- Strong knowledge of plant hire operations and equipment.
- IT Skills (Microsoft Office)
- Administration skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

To excel in this role, you should have a strong understanding of plant hire operations and possess excellent organizational and communication skills. You will need to collaborate with various teams and departments to ensure smooth facility operations and address any issues that may arise.
