They are now looking to recruit an ambitious Electrical Engineer to join a highly driven team. Hydro Industries is a high-tech company specialising in the design, manufacture and operation of electro-based water-treatment products and water treatment systems integration.

This excellent opportunity will suit an ambitious and high calibre Electrical Engineer, with strong experience in the design and project management of Water Treatment projects.

You will preferably have experience of water and Produced treatment / industrial work.

The overall purpose of the role is to provide key engineering design and project management expertise to ensure the optimum delivery of Client projects

Skills for an industrial electrical engineer working in the water treatment industry:

  • You will have water/wastewater experience and design experience from working with or for a contractor.
  • Experience of being involved in all stages of the project lifecycle, from inception to preliminary and detailed design, procurement of contractors, site visits during construction, commissioning and handover to client/operations
  • Working with multidisciplinary teams both internally and externally, you will hold responsibility for electrical designs to ensure that projects are delivered to the required technical quality and to the agreed timescales.
  • You will have at least 7 years' experience as an Electrical Engineer with practical hydraulic steady state and surge analysis experience of pipeline systems and general design in the water industry
  • Experienced in detailed design, be able to read and generate P&ID's prepare electrical engineering elements of tender, construction and as-built design drawings using a 3D CAD package.
  • Prepare project plans using MS project.
  • Maintain, repair and install mechanical, electrical equipment and instrumentation.
  • Work as part of a team and the ability to work on your own
  • Inspection and testing.
  • Demonstrate an ability to read, understand and work from electrical drawings.
  • Risk Assessment, COSHH assessment and all related H&S issues
  • Provide knowledge and onsite support for all management teams.
  • Allow monitoring of workload by completing job cards and timesheets.


Key Qualifications & Skills:

This key role requires a proactive, an outgoing and confident professional who combines effective interpersonal skills with technical excellence and strong IT capability. The ideal candidate will:

  • Experience in the water industry specifically.
  • Relevant Electrical Engineering qualifications.
  • We would expect you to be working towards, close to or already chartered.
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience with a proven track record in a design environment, familiar with the design of the following - Medium Voltage/Low Voltage, Lighting, Fire Alarm, Earthing/Lightening Protection, CCTV/Security Systems, and an understanding of BMS, High Tension design, Switchgear systems, Transformers and design in ATEX environments. You will be assisting in installing and pulling cables, trunking, SWA glanding and cabinet builds. Fault-finding, rectifying problems with electrical systems and all ancillary equipment, experience of designing and implementing automated control system such as PLC, SCADA and/ or DCS control system.
  • Possess the ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and assist others in developing solutions and completing detail design.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills and a consistent track record of initiative and achievement, with the ability to represent the Company at business presentations.
  • Confident with an approachable style and a track record as a target driven self-starter and achiever with the ability to get the job right first time.
  • Full, UK Driving Licence.

Please note this position will involve large degree of overseas travel/working so you must be flexible to stay away from home for periods of time and must be in possession of a UK passport - when not in Egypt there are offices in central r London, Wimbledon, Llanelli and from home is a possibility.

A base salary of £40K - £46K plus all travel, accommodation, meals, pension and perks will be offered to the right candidates. Ideally the base salary range of £40K - £46K plus all travel, accommodation and meals (at classy Red Sea resort in Hurghada), pension and ongoing prospects are on offer.
