Electrical Design Engineer – Oxford – Construction – Hybrid – Candidate driven salary.

My client is a privately owned turnkey specialist design and construction company with a turnover of £10-£12M turnover and an excellent client base with strong order book The projects they undertake are centred around processes within a controlled environment such as Pharmaceuticals and Micro-Electronics.

Role & Duties
Hybrid role – 3 days working from home and 2 days on site.

They are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to assist on their retrofit project in the Oxford area on a pharma plant.

• Managing power generation, transmission and distribution
• Working with high and low voltage equipment
• Designing systems and products using computer software
• Managing and maintaining building services.
• Drawing up project plans, making models, prototypes and circuit diagrams for high and low voltage electrical equipment
• Testing installations and systems
• Ensuring projects meet safety regulations
• Overseeing inspection and maintenance programmes
• Liaising with clients

Candidate
- Candidates need to be happy doing the actual design – working with a senior designer and package manager in Mech & Elec teams
- Experience in an Electrical design role (Power Distribution, Lighting Design, Access Controls, Fire Alarm Systems)
- Knowledge of Amtech software desirable
- Degree in electrical design engineering or similar – desirable
