Salary - Up to £85,000 + Car Allowance, Healthcare & Additional Benefits

The client is an Independent Professional Commercial and Project Services Practice that specialises in Quantity Surveying, Planning & Programming, Project Monitoring & Management and Risk Management across a range of industry sectors including Infrastructure and Tradition Build Sectors across the UK.

Employing close to 30 members of staff across the UK, they have successfully enjoyed year on year growth and have secured a number of new client wins which are already offering repeat business across the Infrastructure Division. They are now wanting to continue the success by expanding the Manchester Office by bringing in a new Director to head up, support and develop the office, specifically to grow the Traditional Build team.

The successful individual will have gained experience working a similar position ideally for another Consultancy/PQS organisation, although not essential and should be competent when it comes to the delivery of small to large sized projects. Knowledge and experience gained across Tradition Build Projects sectors would be beneficial.

Responsibilities - Quantity Surveyor - Director

  • Liaising with all stakeholders to enable the projects progress without delay.
  • Assist in the preparation and verification of pricing models.
  • Assist in the preparation of activity schedules and presentation of tender documentation.
  • Attend interviews and carryout full tender analysis and comparisons through to preparing the recommendation report.
  • Ensure projects are managed in accordance with Contract and meeting the required reporting deadlines.
  • Identify principal risks and opportunities, raises, addresses and resolves problems at project level.
  • Manage the project delivery team and maintain a schedule of potential financial implications for the various projects.
  • Review Principle / Main Contractors Subcontracts and identify where clauses are in breach of Partner policies and guidelines, making recommendations to achieve compliance.

Key Requirements - Quantity Surveyor - Director

  • Proven track record of delivering high value construction projects across Tradition Build sectors.
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar discipline.
  • Qualified MRICS / MCIOB / MICES.
  • Proven record interfacing with Senior Directors and Stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical skills to make informed, balanced business decision and reporting findings to Clients and Stakeholders.
