Development Engineer - National House Builder

Cheshire

Up to £40- 55K + Competitive package + Bonus

Are you looking to change companies? You'll be working as a Development Engineer for a House Builder in a rapidly expanded company, with a new region due to open - potential to advance career further - Senior Development of tech Manager.

You'll to be working in the Technical department of the developer, having key input of the necessary modifications needed in design, land procurement, and preconstruction to produce feasibility reports at inception phase working all the way through to site completion.

4-5-bedroom luxury homes.

Green Belt land.

Cheshire, North Wales and Merseyside.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparation of Phase Geo-Environmental desk studies
  • Design and compilation of Site Investigation works standards
  • Liaising with Geo technical consultancies to assess the suitability of land being procured by land Buyers and working with Technical team (design and commercial).
  • Liaising with Utilities companies, and planning department LA.
  • Assess detailed reports on suitability of development by using key information of the extensive environmental monitoring for all internal departments
  • Make recommendations for foundation design and profitable of development.
  • Preparation and production of Materials Management Plans for developments

Chasing reporting will include assessment on:

  • Sampling of soils / rock and scheduling for chemical and geotechnical lab testing
  • Remediation of underground fuel storage tanks and subsequent validation
  • Statistical analysis of contaminant concentrations within soils
  • Supervision of contamination hotspot removal and subsequent validation testing
  • Understanding of factual and Interpretative Geotechnical and Geo-Environmental reports, metalliferous and coal mining investigations
  • Gas risk assessments in accordance with current published guidance
  • Geotechnical earthworks to highways engineering specification
  • Identification and treatment methods of destructive plant species
  • Preparation of proposals, method statements and risk assessments
  • Management of contractors, client liaison, Local Authority (EHO) liaison
  • UKWIR Water Supply Pipe Assessments

About You:

To be considered you will be working as a development engineer at this time, working for a Geo tech, brownfield companies, working for a Utility company, having an understanding SI work. The role is 50/50 office site, you will have min qualifications HNC/HND - working for chartership would be a bonus.
