Design Manager required for Regional Contractor based in North West England
Working for the contractor, who specialise in works in the retail, fit-out, commercial, residential and office sectors you will be working a number of projects based around the northwest. Most projects are refurbishment focused with some one off new builds as well.
You will have very strong experience with a regional contractor and be comfortable wokring on numerous projects at once. You will have ideally at least 5 years design management experience working for a large main or regional contractor
Workload will be progressing the design process on tenders from Stage 2 through to the site build and stage 5.
You will be Co-ordinating the whole design process and working closely with the client, employers representatives, design team and legislative bodies.
It is important to have a good understanding of 3D Design and BIM Technology. You will be preparing progress reports, and . Organising and chairing design co-ordination and design progress meetings with the design team and sub-contractors and ensuring that design risk assessments are produced.
Ideally you will have experience of working on both Single and Two Stage Procurement routes.
A degree qualification or equivalent and CIOB professional Membership would be ideal.
