Anderselite client, is a tier 1 contractor that is currently working in one of the largest rail and infrastructure project in the North of England over the next 5 years. This role offers flexibility, so candidate will be able to work from home and from the office, which is based in the Leeds City Centre.

Our client is one of the leading civil and structural engineering companies working within the rail sector in the UK, they typically undertake work such as bridge schemes, embankments, platform and station upgrades, culverts and similar.

Responsibilities:

Prepare conceptual designs with a view to the preparation of safe, practical, and economic designs in accordance with current legislation
Prepare detailed designs in accordance with current standards and codes including calculations, design risk assessments and sufficiently detailed sketches for the preparation of 3D models and working drawings
Check the design work of other staff members and external designers
Summarise quantities relating to design tasks and prepare for pricing purposes when required
Ensure design task database is maintained with up to date and relevant data
