Contracts Manager - Permanent Role - Gas/Utilities/Civils Sectors - Derby/Manchester - Salary Circa £48,000 to £60,000 Per Annum (Negotiable on background & relevant experience)

Our client, a large Tier 1 Civil Engineering Contractor, operating within the Gas, Water & Utilities sectors, is currently expanding and are looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. The role will suit an individual who has worked within the Civil Engineering sector and who has delivered relevant Gas or Utilities schemes and who is used to being accountable for the Design and Build of large schemes for prestigious blue-chip clients in this sector.

In this role, you will be accountable for controlling all aspects of the delivery programme, ensuring that all construction and HSQE systems are in place and that such procedures are adhered to by all related parties. Further to the above, you will be responsible for the overall delivery of projects, ensuring that schemes are completed on time, within budget and to the required quality. It is therefore important that the applicable candidate has previously worked on similar/applicable projects and has an excellent knowledge of contract compliance and legislation surrounding HSQE.

Please note: This role will predominantly be based out of our clients Derby office, but the region you will be responsible for, spans from Derby to Manchester. Therefore, occasional site visits to Manchester will be required.

Candidates will ideally:

  • Have previous experience managing Civil Engineering and Gas (Or Utilities) Contracts.
  • Have previous experience supervising multidisciplinary D&B projects including all related Civil's, MEICA & Groundwork/Earthwork elements.
  • Be able to demonstrate excellent punctual, organisational and communication skills.
  • Have an excellent knowledge of current Health and Safety legislation.
  • Hold relevant qualifications such as a relevant degree, CSCS card, EUSR/SHEA, SMSTS etc.
