£65k + Package
The Business
My client, one of the East Midlands most successful construction company, are looking for a Contracts Manager to join their growing team and to provide clear leadership and direction to their construction team. The business have been going for over 50 years and have grown significantly in size over the years, with the addition of 3 offices covering various parts of the Midlands. The business tend to look at projects within the Extra-care, Commercial and Industrial sectors, with jobs ranging from £5m - £20m.
Key Points
The client has specifically stated that it is all about you as a person and attitude is key, someone who has a can do approach to work and always open to Improvement, would fit in well. A lot of their work is repeat business, so it is also important that you can maintain a good relationship with the client.
Duties
In this role you will generally, be engaged on medium to large scale construction projects, ensuring that the levels of supervision/management are sufficient to meet the project challenges, particularly with respect to health & safety. You will be required to oversee all areas of the project, however at times focus will be required on key sites or packages that are not meeting the project objectives or where improvement is required. The Contracts Manager will be expected to over see 2 -3 projects at any one time.
Candidates will ideally:
- Hold all relevant qualifications (CSCS, SMSTS, First Aid at work etc)
- Have experience of delivering projects up to £5m
- Have experience working with a construction team on site
- Able to make key decisions
