Contracts Manager (Remediation)

Location - Surrey - London and the South

Reporting to: Contracts Manager

Location: Site Based

Salary- £40,000 Negotiable dependant on experience

My client successfully delivers the design and implementation of ground and water remediation solutions for land restoration.

Using their inhouse technical expertise they carry out a range of soil and groundwater remediation projects including Soil remediation (bioremediation, stabilisation and solidification, physical / chemical treatment and complex sorting);

Groundwater treatment (pump and treat, chemical oxidation, monitored natural attenuation, flow path management and permeable reactive barriers);

Dewatering / water management and treatment;

Construction of pile mats (including stabilised pile mats);

Cost effective management of piling and groundworks arisings;

Fully regulatory reporting and audit.

Due to their expansion in the sector they are looking to appoint a Contracts Manager who has experience in Soil remediation and groundwater treatment.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Planning, delivery and reporting of remediation projects
  • Management and development of staff in the team * Principal client point of contact
  • Liaison with statutory authorities and other stakeholders
  • Financial management and reporting of the project
  • Subcontractor selection and management
  • Business development and input into tenders
  • Management of health and safety

You will have a minimum of five years' experience including good quality contracting experience. A relevant science or engineering qualification and a background in contaminated land are essential. You will be commercially aware and experienced at providing cost effective solutions in a highly competitive market. Analytical and technical writing skills are important but above all else a flexible and collaborative attitude to solving problems is critical to this role. You will also be experienced in managing projects with high standards of health and safety.
