Position: Contracts Manager

Location: Sussex and surrounding area

Salary: up to 70,000 per annum depending on experience plus benefits package

My client is looking for an experienced Contracts Manager who will come on board and report directly into the MD, allowing them to take full accountability and ownership of the role. In doing so, the candidate will have full autonomy in the strategic management of the project as valued at £10 million and will have the opportunity to liaise directly with the client, steering the project towards successful completion and delivery.

The successful candidate will head up a team of project managers, allowing them to manage the team accordingly, in driving the project in the right direction and ensuring its inherent success.

This is a permanent opportunity with a civil engineering contractor, focussing on minor works within the rail framework, working on improving rail infrastructure within the UK.

The successful candidate will have strong commercial acumen and a professional approach with a desire to achieve results and profitability. In doing so the incumbent will oversee client management and project delivery.

It is envisaged that the successful candidate will be educated to HNC level and will be able to demonstrate true leadership skills and proven experience of working for a recognized Contractor on Civils Minor Works and Civil engineering schemes within the UK Rail sector.

You will be able to work to tight deadlines within a pressurized and technically challenging rail environment, be able to manage and deliver customer expectations and possess a proven track record in delivering projects on time and within budget whilst also developing and progressing your team.

You will have experience of the Minor Works and have previously worked on civil engineering projects which should have included Station upgrades including, Access Walkways, together with Bridge and Structures repairs and refurbishment, Foundations and Support Structures and Earthworks.
