Our client, a growing next generation broadband provider, have an excellent opportunity available or a Contracts Manager to join their team, managing FTTP works and Fibre network solutions across the East Midlands region, on new build projects. In this role you will manage multiple brownfield FTTP projects, from Civil Engineering / Groundworks through to Fibre Cabling works, ensuring that projects are delivered as specified with the end client, who are typically new build residential / housing developers.

Successful candidates will ideally have extensive experience within Telecoms / FTTP, alongside a strong knowledge of civil engineering / groundworks for new build developments, good relationship building skills with Local Authorities, as well as a strong knowledge of Health and Safety on site.

Daily duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Managing project site delivery (brownfield sites).
  • Managing civil engineering / groundwork activities + fibre FTTP cabling works.
  • Ensuring timely delivery of works on large civils sites, managing SLA's, completing regular site visits, managing expectations for delivery, scheduling meetings and providing progress reports (internal / external).
  • Liaising with sub-contractors and local authorities, reporting project status to regular business intervals.
  • Ensuring any installation queries/challenges are addressed, resolved, or escalated.
  • Ensuring the project is progressing within budget.
  • Managing Health and Safety on-site projects.
  • Driving accountability across internal departments, ensuring that all stake holders are delivering to project requirement, as well as ensuring all departments are updated and are aware of any change.
  • Working closely with internal business development team to identify new projects / sites, identifying and prioritising new opportunities, reviewing site to ensure a successful delivery programme can be achieved.

Candidates will ideally have:

  • Have previous experience in a similar project delivery role, within the Telecoms sector, that incorporates civil engineering / ground works and FTTP / Telecoms / Fibre works.
  • Previously managed multiple projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience of working with design schematics, duct diagrams and work instructions.
  • A competent knowledge of underground duct network and utilities.
  • A valid NRSWA Supervisor qualification, alongside SROH and TMA knowledge.
  • Be HSG47 compliant.
  • Have good communication and commercial skills, being commercially aware.
