Contracts Manager

We have an immediate requirement for an experienced Contracts Manager, for one of our premier Clients, a highly successful private Contractor. They are looking for a Contracts Manager to initially manage several EFA (now ESFA) Schools Projects in North London and Oxford under an existing Framework Agreement. We are looking for a passionate individual with a strong track record in delivering exceptional projects on time and on budget.
Note: Your time wil be split between their Head Office in Deby and weekly visits to various sites (currently North London and Oxford) weekly.

Experience in the construction industry, including relevant experience with similar projects; previous schools projects experience would be preferable but is not a prerequisite. Capable of managing similar scale projects within tight time and budget constraints. Must possess excellent communication and leadership skills. BIM experience preferred.

Must be capable of simultaneously managing and monitoring a number of construction projects with the aim of achieving profitable, prompt and high quality delivery in strict accordance with Health, Safety and Environmental legislation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Line management and leadership of each relevant Project Team
  • To be the link between all relevant stakeholders, front line project teams and the Directors
  • Production of the initial project plan including setting programme targets
  • Planning ahead to identify potential challenges and bringing innovative and cost effective solutions
  • Building good working relationships with the Client, Suppliers and local Project Management Team
  • To monitor the progress of each project ensuring that the Contract Programme is on track and taking action where necessary to eliminate delays
  • Close liaison with the QS to ensure project financial targets are met
  • Ensure that high Health, Safety and Environmental Standards are implemented and maintained on each project site.
Qualifications / Licences:
  • HNC (minimum or equivalent)
  • CSCS.
