Job Title: Sub-Contracts Manager

Reporting To: Production Manager


Purpose and scope

Oversee the day-to-day management of sub-contractors in the production areas. Ensure the efficient completion of manufacturing projects, within the timescale, to the required quality level and to budget. Ensure all operatives work in line with the Health and Safety Policy and other Company Procedures


Main Tasks and Responsibilities

• Ensure Sub-Contractors representative organise their workforce to maintain best output levels.
• Carry out factory pre-planning and organisation of sub-contract work.
• Identify and establish special production techniques required.
• Sub-contract programme generation.
• Investigate, monitor and communicate any non-standard time verification of extras for the project QS to determine.
• Monitor and report on performance (actual against target programme).
• Ensure project is completed to pre-agreed levels prior to requesting quality inspection and PDI.
• Production problem solving.
• Chair daily sub-contract meetings, co-ordinate and monitor performance to programme, ensure all sub-contractors work to our Quality, H & S and Housekeeping standards.
• Monitor staff levels and competency.
• Ensure all Inductions and Exits from the company are carried out.
• Ensure sub-contractors are working to agreed safe methods in compliance with their RAMS
• Ensure sub-contractors are working to correct and latest information / drawings.
• Enforce workforce discipline.
• Schedule of sub contractors
• Operate factory within relevant ISO9001 and 14001 procedures.
• Request/chase production information.
• Police the companies Health & Safety Policy.
• Make initial investigation of any accidents within your area of control and pass on results to Health and Safety Manager for further investigation if required.
• Police housekeeping rules.
• Continually look to improve productivity through Continuous Improvement
