Commissioning Engineer/Electrical Engineer Required (Testing/Commissioning Role) - Water Industry - Warwickshire/South Birmingham - Start ASAP (Jan/Feb 2018) - Pay Rate Negotiable (Circa £300.00 to £350.00 Per Day - Negotiable on experience)

Our client, a large Construction/Civil Engineering contractor within the Waste Water sector, is currently looking for an Electrical Biased Commissioning Engineer, to work on (test/commission) upcoming Water projects within the Severn Trent Network. In this role you will predominately be responsible for the Commissioning and Testing of an ASP Plant which includes discthickener, RAM pumps, chemical dosing facilities as well as transfer pumps etc. As such, our client is looking for someone who has come from an electrical background and understands the process of installing/commissioning/testing equipment used throughout the life cycle of water and sewage treatment projects. On top of this, if candidate have previous experience managing Electrical Subcontractors on site, being able to pull resources and suppliers together, this would be advantageous, but is not essential. For this role, you will initially work on a project in the Warwickshire area, until being moved on a new project in the South Birmingham area around March time, to deliver a larger scheme (12+ month project).

For this role, we are ideally looking for candidates who:

  • Have previous experience working within the water industry, commissioning and testing equipment used on water/sewage treatment plants.
  • Have worked on projects within the AMP framework previously. (AMP 4/5/6)
  • Have come from an Electrical Background.
  • Hold relevant qualifications (HNC in Electrical Engineering or similar, CSCS Card etc)
  • Have subcontract management ability. (Preferred but not essential)
  • Hold a Severn Trent Water approved AP qualification. (Preferred but not essential)
