Anderselite are currently recruiting for a commercial project manager to join a tier 1 contractor, working on their water maintenance team in the Anglian Region. This role is an exciting opportunity looking to start ASAP, working on projects valued £50mil +

What you will be doing:

As Project Manager you will be the main point of contact for external customers, project team members, and internal stakeholders
Your project portfolio will be made up of a range of different projects, managed across the Thames Water region (either London or Thames Valley )
Delivery of project outcomes, while monitoring Health and Safety, programme, quality, cost, as well as industry-relevant governance
Project forecasting and reporting, ensuring the works carried out remain within budget, time, and quality constraints
Identifying and briefing appropriately profiled projects to meet business requirements
Drive continuous improvement in activities within the immediate team and wider team, as well as constantly improving health, safety, and environmental performance
Initiate and develop communication and strong working relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external
Apply commercial acumen in managing contractors and suppliers to deliver best value solutions to agreed projects
What skills are we looking for?

An experienced Project Manager ideally with experience within the construction, water, or utilities industries
Demonstrable experience adapting your communication style to field staff as well as more corporate senior stakeholders
This is a challenging and exciting role and we are looking for a strong project manager with a proven track record for project delivery, being responsible for governance compliance as well as engaging with the teams to drive the projects forwards
The ability to gain credibility quickly is essential and if you are a chartered engineer or possess a Project Management qualification, this would be hugely advantageous
You will have broad knowledge and experience in making complex investment decisions and be fully competent at using appropriate company IT systems and office software
Customer service and customer management experience
Knowledge and understanding of the processes and standards used in Water/Wastewater/Networks are desirable
Previous experience in contractor management
Proven record of leading a Health and Safety performance culture
Understanding of the development of design, construction, and operation of above and below ground projects
