Commercial Manager - Civil Engineering

Nottingham

Up to £64'000 per annum DOE, plus package

Working with a national contractor, I currently have an opportunity for a Commercial Manager to join their existing team, to lead and support the commercial department. You will also be required to support both the Tendering and Procurement Departments. As the successful candidate, you will have day to day management of the commercial department.

What you will be doing:

General

- Reviewing tender enquiries and commercial risk assessment
- Collating, checking and validating monthly project reports and providing updates to the Company Accountant and Senior Management
- Reporting of issues to the Senior Management
- Collating, checking and validating monthly project reports and providing updates to the Company Accountant and Senior Management
- Managing and recruitment of Commercial Staff
- Providing technical support , motivating and identifying future training for your staff
- Collating, checking and validating monthly project reports and providing updates to the Company Accountant and Senior Management
- Negotiating contract arrangements with Clients and Subcontractors.

Commercial Supervision of Projects

With your Team, you will be responsible for: -

- Setting up projects on the company accounting system
- Timely and accurate collation of costs for labour, plant and materials.
- Sub-contractors are in place and administered correctly.
- Timely and accurate collection of payments.
- The identification and recording of project changes.
- Managing communication between project teams and clients.
- Approving Subcontractor Payment certificates.
- Project budget management
- Preparing and presenting costs for client validations.
- Project dispute resolution.
- Management of the Final Account

- Ability to generate commercial documents.

Essential Competencies:

- High level working knowledge of NEC3 /NEC4
- Proven record of running multiple projects and managing / leading teams.
- Full UK driving licence
