Job Title - Chartered Quantity Surveyor

Sector - Aviation

Location - Scotland

Position - Contract

Start Date - Immediate

Rate - Up to £500 Day Rate (Negotiable - DoE)

The client is a global consultancy and construction company who work a range of market sectors and are experts in Project Management, Quantity Surveying, Cost Consultancy, Construction Delivery and Facilities Management. We are looking for candidates who are experienced or have a background in MEP or Aviation related Projects.

The successful candidate will have gained experience working within a Quantity Surveyor or Cost Manager role ideally for another Consultancy/PQS organisation, although not essential and should be competent when it comes to the delivery of large sized projects. Knowledge and experience gained within MEP or Aviation related Projects would be beneficial.

Responsibilities - Chartered Quantity Surveyor

  • Provide support to the Project Manager in challenging and negotiating ongoing costs on the project in accordance with the NEC3 Contract
  • Provide challenge to the Contractor on any and all Applications for Payment, Compensation Events and Early Warning Notices
  • Work with the Project Manager to ensure that the Client receives the best Value for Money
  • Work with Project and Programme Manager to identify other cost saving
  • Provide advice on budget/review the costings for main works and support decision making and spend profiles related to this project.

Key Requirements - Chartered Quantity Surveyor

  • Proven track record of delivering high value construction projects ideally in Aviation related Projects.
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar discipline.
  • Qualified / Chartered, MRICS / MCIOB / MICES.
  • NEC ECC/PSC contract form experience
  • Comfortable interfacing with Senior Management and Stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical skills to make informed, balanced business decision and reporting findings to Clients and Stakeholders.
